There’s a pain that hit differently when someone travels a long distance to attend a healing meeting, yet not healed after the program. It can be very frustrating, especially when the person has put on believe that he/she will not return the same. Some have justified the reason for lack of healing to not having faith. but the question is, is it not faith that made them leave their home to travel for hours in the first place?
We are well aware that Jesus has given the believers the power to heal. Many miracles have been recorded of people who received their healing. But why are some not healed? The bible is full of scriptures letting believers know that by the death of Jesus on the cross, they were already healed. 1 Peter 2:24 ‘He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By His stripes you are healed.” Luke 9:1-2 ‘Then Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and power to cure diseases. 2And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Healing and the healing power is an established fact.
on one occasion, when a man took his sick son to the disciples of Jesus to be healed and when they couldn’t, the man went to Jesus to complain. Matthew 17:14-17 ‘When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” 17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” This verse suggests that all can be healed. Though the disciples couldn’t heal, Jesus stepped in. This means that all can and should be healed
Why do some not get healed? One reason is being malleable. This means that this person can easily absorb the word of God. It is the word of God that carries the power to heal. No matter how powerful a man of God is, if the recipient cannot absorb, there won’t be healing. Mark 4: 8 & 20. 8) ‘Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.” 20) “Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”
Some may ask ‘how else can a person be malleable? They accept the word can heal that’s why they traveled far’. The difference between the person that received healing and the person that didn’t is that the one who received tilled the soil which is the heart. It is just like going to plant a seed. Every good farmer tills the soil and adds manure to prepare the ground for receiving the seed. It is the same thing. People that didn’t receive healing didn’t till their hearts to receive, rather they expected the man of God to cast the seed anyway.
Next topic will discuss how to till your heart to receive.
Praise the Lord. What do you think?
